Broodmares of Flying Colours Farms

At Flying Colours Farm, the mares most important job is to be a great broodmare.

We believe that the mares contribute more than 50% genetic material of the foals attributes. The nurturing aspect of the mare to the foal is essential in determining the character of the horses their babies will become.

The mares must have a great temperament, be well mannered and possess a genuine enjoyment of human companionship. These are the qualities that they pass onto their babies.

Our mares have abundant athletic abilities based on their correct confirmation.

The coming foal crop for the year 2007 of buckskin and palomino babies is the result of breeding some our selected mares to the cremello stallion Guaranteed Gold. He is a Bronze Premium CSHA (Canadian Sport Horse Association) stallion.

Our foals should be buckskin or palomino coloured out of the bay mares with a slight chance of a smoky black. The chestnut mares will always produce palomino babies.

Some of our mares in foal are available for purchase. If you require more information about any of our mares please contact us at or visit our For Sale Page on this website.
