2009 Foals

For the year 2009, we have certainly not been able to contain ourselves. We have had some awesome babies and are truly blessed to be able to produce some of the nicest foals we have ever had. We have expanded our stallion prospects to include W/B crosses, as well as some full T/B’s giving us a variety of colour to add to the already perfect mix in our nursery.

On April 26, Driving Rosa Wild  (Rosa) gave birth to our first foal by Melody’s Prince This filly (aka Daisy) is a special girl that tells us her sire passes on his traits.

On May 3, Crème of the Crop (Dixie) foaled out a palomino filly, Prized Possession (aka Darcie). Her sire is Mirabeau.  This filly is a tall, well put together filly with the look at me attitude that we like.

On May 21, Timely Purpose (Ginger) gave birth to our second foal by Melody’s Prince. This time it is a colt (aka Denny). Again Melody’s Prince stamped this foal as his own!

On May 24, Brass Monkey (Abby) foaled out a stunning palomino filly, Mirakey (aka Delilah). The sire of this foal is Mirabeau. This filly is an absolute knockout!

On May 26, Stardust Melodies (Meldelivered a very feisty palomino filly. Her sire is  El Dorado. This filly (aka Destiny) is an awesome addition to our 2009 foal crop.

On June 14, This is for Gran (Xena) had a colourful filly, Grand Finale (aka Dazzle). Her sire is Arts Aero. This filly is a different colour of horse for Flying Colours Farms and we are ecstatic with the results.

2008 Foals

For the year 2008, Flying Colours Farms had three mares in foal.

Two mares, Black Oaks Paris, and Crème of the Crop were in foal to the imported cremello German Warmblood stallion Mirabeau.

Black Oaks Paris had Calipso,  an excellent sabino buckskin colt  and Crème of the Crop produced  Mirage (aka Cassidy), a fantastic palomino colt.

Our third mare, This is for Gran, was bred to Guaranteed Gold, and produced another beautiful filly Copper Twist (aka Caluhua)  March 22, 2008. Click here to go to our 2008 Foals.

2007 Foals

The  foal crop of 11 for the year 2007 of buckskin and palomino babies is the result of breeding some our selected mares to the cremello stallion Guaranteed Gold. He is a Bronze Premium CSHA (Canadian Sport Horse Association) stallion.

Our foals are buckskin or palomino coloured out of the bay mares with a slight chance of a smoky black. The chestnut mares always produce palomino babies. Click here to go to our 2007 foals.
